Net-Zero Energy Homes is a prototype project for affordable and low-energy consuming homes. These will be built on urban infill lots in North Hartford. The design team selected energy-efficient building components using energy use modeling combined with cost analysis. The developer will educate the new homeowners in the operation of the house and monitor the building's performance over time to determine whether any future improvements will be beneficial.
