The 12 acre site currently contains 53 units of housing situated mostly in single family ranches. The housing authority sought to redevelop the site creating greater density while respecting the sensitive residential fabric of the adjacent neighborhoods. The town has approved a scheme which facilitates the phasing of the project, achieves the greater density through demolition of the existing buildings and the construction of mostly four-family houses.
