El Mercado is an ethnic fresh food market with up to 30 independent vendors, serving the Greater Hartford Hispanic community. The building has one large open space in the center which accommodates the various food and produce vendors. Each vendor’s space is articulated by a raised platform portion of the floor, display counters and cabinetry, and an overhead awning, lighting and signage canopy. An outdoor plaza provides extra space for seasonal activities and additional vendors.
